Beautiful Luxury Red and Black Resin Fountain Pen

This is a stunningly beautiful, luxury, top of the range, fountain pen with the highest quality fittings that should last a lifetime. Made from Red and Black Resin with Titanium Gold Plated fittings and Rhodium Centre Ring and Cabochon making a lovely, elegant pen that would grace any desk or office. Titanium and Rhodium plating is a much tougher finish than normal plating and therefore is a harder wearing finish on this pen making it almost impossible for the plating to wear.

This stylish writing implement is fitted with a high-quality Beaufort Medium bi-coloured gold plated nib which writes smoothly. In addition, it comes complete with ink cartridges, a converter so that bottled ink can be used and in a velvet pouch for protection (or black velvet pen box for an extra charge). This pen is not pillared so the cap cannot be screwed on the back.

How Your Pen Is Constructed

I start by deciding what colours I am going to make the blank and then mixing the resin and adding the pigments to make the colours that I want. It takes two to three hours before the resin is ready to pour.
If there is more than one colour I now mix these colours together to make a unique blank and then leave it to set for a week
The next move is to select the blank that I want
After the blank is selected it is cut to size and then drilled to take the brass tubes that the pen mechanism will be fitted in.
Once the tubes are fitted the blank is then turned on the lathe to the correct size.
The square blank is now turned and shaped.
It is now sanded with very fine sandpaper, the finish is then applied with up to ten coats, being sanded between every one or two coats with 1500 grit to 12000 grit sandpaper

The pen is then assembled and cleaned so that the finished item ready to be dispatched

More Details

This pen is unique and made using sustainable or recycled timber or resin and top quality components. Once turned and sanded, to give the best possible protection it has a number of coats of finish and then a polish. It comes complete in a pouch, full instructions on the care of the pen. Also a certificate of authenticity, confirming that I have turned the pen personally and the date it was constructed.

All of my pens are UK post free and are usually dispatched within two days by 1st Class Mail (24 Tracked). For orders outside the UK please see the overseas postage charges. These will be sent by Tracked Royal Mail International Standard. Also be aware that the buyer is responsible for any additional import and custom taxes.
