My mid-range Rollerball pens are of a higher grade of fittings than standard pens. The pen writes beautifully, is well balanced and of a classic design. This Mahogany Rollerball Pen is made from a lovely piece of recycled timber with Gold Plated fittings and an accented Centre Ring and Cabochon in Black Chrome that compliments this timber beautifully.
Like a lot of best quality pens, the finished pen is not “pillared” so the cap cannot be fixed to the back of the pen. The Pen has a refill fitted and is ready to use. It comes in a black velveteen pouch (or a Hard Velvet Pen Case as an added extra).
Please check all of the pictures as the pen being sold is the one in the picture and ready to post.

About the Timber
All of my wooden pens are made from recycled, repurposed or sustainable timber. Further information regarding the type of wood this pen is made from will be contained in the information sheet. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Any wood species, that is not listed as being recycled or repurposed comes from sustainable stock and is not listed in the CITES Appendices or on the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species.
Mahogany has a straight, fine, and even grain, and is relatively free of voids and pockets. Its reddish-brown colour darkens over time and displays a reddish sheen when polished. It has excellent workability and is very durable. Historically, the tree’s girth allowed for wide boards from traditional mahogany species. These properties make it a favourable wood for crafting cabinets and furniture.
This timber is still widely used for fine furniture; however, the rarity of various types of mahogany, the over-harvesting of Honduras and Brazilian mahogany, and the protests by indigenous peoples and environmental organizations from the 1980s into the 2000s, have diminished their use.
This particular piece was originally bought, by myself, to make a clock with, in the 1970s, but the clock was never made and has been stored in my shed ever since.
