HANDMADE CEDAR FOUNTAIN PEN
This Cedar fountain pen is constructed from a lovely piece of timber with 24 carat Gold plated fittings. The pen is “pillared” so that the cap can be screwed on the back of the pen to extend it for anyone who likes to use a longer pen. It comes complete in a velvet pouch for protection (or black velvet pen case as an added extra).

About This Timber Pen

Any wood species, that is not listed as being recycled or repurposed comes from sustainable stock and is not listed in the CITES Appendices or on the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species.
There are many species of Cedar, probably the best known is Western Red Cedar. The heartwood reddish to pinkish brown, often with random streaks and bands of darker red/brown areas. It has narrow sapwood, which is pale yellowish white, and isn’t always sharply defined from the heartwood. Has a straight grain and a medium to coarse texture. It is easy to work with both hand or machine tools, though it dents and scratches very easily due to its softness it also finishes well.
Its uses include shed making, boatbuilding, boxes, crates, and musical instruments
