Iroko Ballpoint Pen- About The Timber
This wood is a tough, dense, highly durable wood with a rich coloured grain and is the ideal substitute for teak in many DIY projects. Iroko can be found growing on the west coast of the African continent, stretching from Ghana to Mozambique. Due to its highly durable nature, African Iroko wood is ideal for a range of tasks including cabinet making, panelling, decking, joinery and kitchen work. It is also used in boat building due to its durability. It works well but can dull tools and the dust makes it imperative to use a face mask when working with this wood.

General Details
Every pen is unique each being made using sustainable, reclaimed, recycled timber or resin and fitted with top quality components. Once turned and sanded, to give the best possible protection it has numerous coats of finish and then a polish. To protect you pen it comes in a velvet sleeve, unless otherwise stated, full instructions on the care of the pen and a certificate of authenticity, confirming that I personally turned the pen and the date it was constructed.
This pen body is made from timber which, being a natural material, makes each piece unique in colour and figuring, and will slightly change colour and darken in time. The pen may be smooth to the touch or you may be able to feel the grain, blemishes and faults in the wood under the finish. Pens that are really smooth, with no blemishes are made of plastic!
All of my pens are UK post free and are usually dispatched within two days by 1st Class Mail (24 Tracked). For orders outside the UK please see the overseas postage charges and these will send by Tracked Royal Mail International Standard. Also be aware that the buyer is responsible for any import and custom taxes.
