Tulipwood Ballpoint Pen – This one piece wooden click pen has been made with a nice piece of Tulipwood that has been turned to produce a cigar shape, with two small grooves at the top and bottom, making this pen unique and finished with Black Enamel fittings. It has a firm click mechanism and comes fitted with a standard Parker G2 style ballpoint refill that are readily available in a variety of qualities, colours and brands online or in local stationary shops due the popularity of the Parker pen. It comes complete with a velvet sleeve to protect it

Tulip Ballpoint Pen- About The Timber
Tulip Wood is also known by a number of different names such as American yellow poplar (UK), American whitewood, tulip tree (UK and USA), canary wood (UK), canary whitewood (UK).
The sapwood is white, and in second-growth trees, very wide; the heartwood is variable in colour, ranging from olive green to yellow or brown, and may be streaked with steel-blue. The annual growth terminates in a white band of parenchyma giving a subdued figure to longitudinal surfaces. The wood is’ straight-grained. fine-textured, fairly soft and light in weight. It works very nicely and with the various shades can give a pleasing effect.

General Details
Every pen is unique each being made using sustainable, reclaimed, recycled timber or resin and fitted with top quality components. Once turned and sanded, to give the best possible protection it has numerous coats of finish and then a polish. To protect you pen it comes in a velvet sleeve, unless otherwise stated, full instructions on the care of the pen. You will also ge a certificate of authenticity, confirming that I personally turned the pen and the date it was constructed.
This pen body is made from timber which, being a natural material, makes each piece unique in colour and figuring. The pen may be smooth to the touch or you may be able to feel the grain, blemishes and faults in the wood under the finish. Pens that are really smooth, with no blemishes are made of plastic!
All of my pens are UK post free and are usually dispatched within two days by 1st Class Mail (24 Tracked). For orders outside the UK please see the overseas postage charges and these will send by Tracked Royal Mail International Standard. Also be aware that the buyer is responsible for any import and custom taxes.
