This top quality wooden ballpoint twist pen is constructed from a beautiful piece of Mulberry with Chrome/Gun Metal fittings. The Chrome ring between the wood and gun metal has a Gothic design and is ideal for someone who would like a unique pen. It comes fitted with a Parker G2 style refill. The mechanism is bidirectional so the pen nib can be extended by turning the top finial clockwise or counter clockwise. This pen is the one in the photos and is ready to post.

Mulberry Ballpoint Twist Pen- About The Timber
Mulberry is a rare timber these days. With a straight grain and a uniform, medium texture, this timber is known to be very durable with good insect resistance and weathering properties. The detailed characteristics throughout the grain really draw attention to the raw beauty of this timber. The heartwood is a golden brown, darkening to a medium/reddish brown with age. Sapwood is a pale yellowish white looking very similar to Osage Orange, though Mulberry tends to be significantly lighter.
Mulberry species are perhaps better known for their edible fruit. The leaves of White Mulberry (Morus alba) are also the primary food source for the silkworm (Bombyx mori), which is used to produce silk.

General Details
Every pen is unique each being made using sustainable, reclaimed, recycled timber or resin and fitted with top quality components. Once turned and sanded, to give the best possible protection it has numerous coats of finish and then a polish. To protect you pen it comes in a velvet sleeve, unless otherwise stated, full instructions on the care of the pen and a certificate of authenticity, confirming that I personally turned the pen and the date it was constructed.
This pen body is made from timber which, being a natural material, makes each piece unique in colour and figuring, and will slightly change colour and darken in time. The pen may be smooth to the touch or you may be able to feel the grain, blemishes and faults in the wood under the finish. Pens that are really smooth, with no blemishes are made of plastic!
All of my pens are UK post free and are usually dispatched within two days by 1st Class Mail (24 Tracked). For orders outside the UK please see the overseas postage charges and these will send by Tracked Royal Mail International Standard. Also be aware that the buyer is responsible for any import and custom taxes.
