This is a great Rollerball Pen is made from a piece of recycled Sapele (a 1970’s window replacement) which has been turned giving a really nice pen. In addition it is further enhanced with Chrome Plated fittings. The pen comes with Schmidt refill already fitted and in a black velveteen pouch. The pen for sale is the one in the picture and ready to post.

About the Timber
Sapele is a West African timber that is red in colour that closely resembles Mahogany. It is used for windows, flooring and conservatories due to its durability.
As Mahogany, particularly Brazilian, became scarce, and is now illegal to sell. Sapele was used as a cheaper substitute for Mahogany and can be used for general joinery. It is also very good for those who want a painted finish.

More Details
Each pen is made using sustainable or recycled timber and top quality components. Once turned and sanded, to give the best possible protection it has up to ten coats of finish and then a polish.
It comes complete in a velvet sleeve, full instructions on the care of the pen and a certificate of authenticity. This confirms that I have turned the pen personally also the date it was made.
This pen is constructed from timber. Being a natural material each piece is unique in colour and figuring, which will slightly change colour and darken in time.
The pen may be smooth to the touch or you may be able to feel the grain, blemishes and faults in the wood under the finish. Pens that are really smooth, with no blemishes are made of plastic!

All of my pens are UK post free and are usually dispatched within two days by 1st Class Mail (24 Tracked). For orders outside the UK please see the overseas postage charges and these will send by Tracked Royal Mail International Standard. Also be aware that the buyer is responsible for any import and custom tax.
