Yellow Scrap Wood Fountain Pen
Fantastic Scrap Wood Rollerball pen made from Multicoloured Resin (Yellow being the main coloured) and timber off cuts with Gun Metal fittings that compliments this pen nicely.
The finished pen is “pillared” meaning that the cap can be screwed on the back of the pen to extend it for anyone who likes to use a longer pen and comes in a black velveteen pouch to protect it. Please check all of the pictures as the pen being sold is the one in the picture and ready to post.

About the Pen Body
I make my Scrap wood resin pen blanks by first mixing various coloured dyes with clear resin which is then left for a few hours until the mixture thickens. At this stage they are now ready to be poured into a mould. The reason for leaving them to thicken is that if they were poured straight away the colours would mix into a light blue By leaving them to thicken they should separate keeping the blue and white resins separate, although there is no guarantee that that this will happen as expected. Before the mixture is poured the pieces of timber are placed into the mould and then the resin poured over them and a cover placed on the mould to stop that wood pieced floating to the surface.
After about a week the resin has cured and can be released from the mould. The block can then be cut to size and is ready to turn on the lathe.

This pen is unique and made using sustainable or recycled timber, resin and top quality components. Once turned and sanded, to give the best possible protection it has a number of coats of finish and then a polish. It comes complete in a pouch, full instructions on the care of the pen and a certificate of authenticity, confirming that I have turned the pen personally and the date it was constructed.
All of my pens are UK post free and are usually dispatched within two days by 1st Class Mail (24 Tracked). For orders outside the UK please see the overseas postage charges and these will send by Tracked Royal Mail International Standard.
