Lovely Black Cherry Fountain Pen
This Fountain Pen is constructed from a repurposed piece of Black Cherry with Gold Plated Fittings. The pen is “pillared” so that the cap can be screwed on the back of the pen to extend it for anyone who likes to use a longer pen. The nib has an iridium point. You are buying the pen that is in the pictures and it is ready to post. It comes complete with ink cartridges, a converter so that bottled ink can be used and in a velvet pouch for protection (or black velvet pen box with white and blue interior for an extra charge).

About the Timber
Black Cherry (Also Known as American Cherry, Cabinet Cherry and Rum Cherry) has a heartwood that is a light pinkish brown when freshly cut. It darkens to a medium reddish brown with time and upon exposure to light. The grain is usually straight and easy to work—with the exception of figured pieces with curly grain patterns.
Cherry is known as being one of the best all-around woods for workability. It is stable, straight-grained, and machines well. It is mostly used for cabinet making, fine furniture, flooring, interior millwork, veneer, turned objects, and small specialty wood items.

Each pen is made using sustainable or recycled timber and top quality components. Once turned and sanded, to give the best possible protection it has up to ten coats of finish and then a polish. It comes complete in a velvet sleeve, full instructions on the care of the pen and a certificate of authenticity, confirming that I have turned the pen personally and in most cases the date it was constructed.
This pen is constructed from timber. Being a natural material each piece is unique in colour and figuring, which will slightly change colour and darken in time. The pen may be smooth to the touch or you may be able to feel the grain, blemishes and faults in the wood under the finish. Pens that are really smooth, with no blemishes are made of plastic!

All of my pens are UK post free and are usually dispatched within two days by 1st Class Mail (24 Tracked). For orders outside the UK please see the overseas postage charges. These will be sent by Tracked Royal Mail International Standard. Also be aware that the buyer is responsible for any additional import and custom taxes.
