Enju Fountain Pen

This is a lovely Fountain Pen is made from a piece of recycled Enju with Rose Gold Coloured Plated fittings. The finished pen is “pillared” meaning that the cap can be screwed on the back of the pen to extend it for anyone who likes to use a longer pen. The nib has an iridium point and the pen comes in a black velveteen pouch (or the chance to have a black velvet pen box with white and blue interior as an added extra) and three ink cartridges to get you started.

About the Timber

Japanese Enju is also known as the Pagoda tree, Japanese Enju is a hard wood and is most often used in the construction of temples and shrines in Japan. In looks and workability it is similar to Acacia. It is very like, but not as red as Mahogany and the grain can be very similar.

Details

This pen is unique and made using sustainable or recycled timber or resin and top quality components. Once turned and sanded, to give the best possible protection it has a number of coats of finish and then a polish. It comes complete in a pouch, full instructions on the care of the pen and a certificate of authenticity, confirming that I have turned the pen personally and the date it was constructed.
This pen is constructed from timber. Being a natural material each piece is unique in colour and figuring, which will slightly change colour and darken in time. The pen may be smooth to the touch or you may be able to feel the grain, blemishes and faults in the wood under the finish. Pens that are really smooth, with no blemishes are made of plastic!

All of my pens are UK post free and are usually dispatched within two days by 1st Class Mail (24 Tracked). For orders outside the UK please see the overseas postage charges. These will be sent by Tracked Royal Mail International Standard. Also be aware that the buyer is responsible for any additional import and custom taxes.
