Lovely Cherry Fountain Pen
This is a lovely Fountain Pen is made from a piece of recycled Cherry with Gold Plated fittings. The finished pen is “pillared” meaning that the cap can be screwed on the back of the pen to extend it for anyone who likes to use a longer pen. The nib has an iridium point and the pen comes in a black velveteen pouch (or the chance to have a black velvet pen box with white and blue interior as an added extra) and three ink cartridges to get you started.

About the Timber
Cherry is one of the few fruit woods commercially used in the UK for both furniture and joinery. The natural, warm lustre and attractive grain of English cherry set it apart as one of the most luxurious species from our native forests. The sap wood of cherry is a creamy white colour which contrasts with the light pink of the heart wood. English-grown cherry can sometimes develop green tints and streaks which add interest.

This pen is unique and made using sustainable or recycled timber or resin and top quality components. Once turned and sanded, to give the best possible protection it has a number of coats of finish and then a polish. It comes complete in a pouch, full instructions on the care of the pen and a certificate of authenticity, confirming that I have turned the pen personally and the date it was constructed.
This pen is constructed from timber. Being a natural material each piece is unique in colour and figuring, which will slightly change colour and darken in time. The pen may be smooth to the touch or you may be able to feel the grain, blemishes and faults in the wood under the finish. Pens that are really smooth, with no blemishes are made of plastic!

For orders outside the UK please see the overseas postage charges and these will send by Tracked Royal Mail International Standard.
