Cedar Fountain Pen
This is a lovely Fountain Pen is made from a piece of recycled Cedar with Gold Plated fittings. The finished pen is “pillared” meaning that the cap can be screwed on the back of the pen to extend it for anyone who likes to use a longer pen
The nib has an iridium point and the pen comes in a black velveteen pouch (or the chance to have a black velvet pen box with white and blue interior as an added extra) and ink cartridges to get you started.

About the Timber
There are many species of Cedar, probably the best known is Western Red Cedar. The heartwood reddish to pinkish brown, often with random streaks and bands of darker red/brown areas. It has narrow sapwood, which is pale yellowish white, and isn’t always sharply defined from the heartwood.
Has a straight grain and a medium to coarse texture. It is easy to work with both hand or machine tools, though it dents and scratches very easily due to its softness it also finishes well.
Its uses include shed making, boatbuilding, boxes, crates, and musical instruments.

Detail
This pen is unique and made using sustainable or recycled timber or resin and top quality components. Once turned and sanded, to give the best possible protection it has a number of coats of finish and then a polish.
It comes complete in a pouch also full instructions on the care of the pen. In addition a certificate of authenticity, confirming that I have turned the pen personally also the date it was constructed.
Delivery
All of my pens are UK post free and are usually dispatched within two days by 1st Class Mail (24 Tracked). For orders outside the UK please see the overseas postage charges. These will be sent by Tracked Royal Mail International Standard. Also be aware that the buyer is responsible for any additional import and custom taxes.
