APPLE WOOD FOUNTAIN PEN
This superb fountain pen is constructed from a nice piece of Apple wood with Gold Plated Fittings. The pen is “pillared” so that the cap can be screwed on the back of the pen to extend it for anyone who likes to use a longer pen. The nib has an iridium point.
It comes complete with ink cartridges, a converter so that bottled ink can be used and in a velvet pouch for protection (or black velvet pen box with white and blue interior for an extra charge).

About This Timber Pen
All of my wooden pens are made from recycled, repurposed or sustainable timber. Further information regarding the type of wood this pen is made from will be contained in the information sheet. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Any wood species, that is not listed as being recycled or repurposed comes from sustainable stock and is not listed in the CITES Appendices or on the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species.
Apple is used for carving and in the production of fine furniture, tool handles, mallet heads, turned items, and other small specialty wood objects. It can be somewhat difficult to work due to its high density and can burn easily when being machined. Apple glues, stains, finishes, and turns well.
Heartwood can vary from a light reddish or greyish brown to a deeper red/brown. The grain of Apple is sometimes seen with streaks of darker and lighter bands of colour, similar to Olive. Sapwood is a pale cream colour. The grain is straight (though on some sections of the tree it can also be wild). With a very fine, uniform texture, closely resembling Cherry.
Apple is seldom available in lumber form and is usually seen only in very small sizes when available. Likely to be rather expensive and is usually meant for only small projects and specialized applications.
