ASH WOOD DRAGON FOUNTAIN PEN
This is a lovely fountain pen in Ash with a dragon design pocket clip and centre ring and an amber and black coloured cabochon. This pen has Polished Gun Metal Coloured Plated fittings. The detail on the hardware of these Dragon pens is striking with a finely detailed Dragon on the clip and centre band.
The nib has an iridium point, and the pen comes in a black velveteen pouch (or the chance to have a black velvet pen box as an added extra) and an ink pump already fitted. You will need to obtain a bottle of ink but there is an ink cartridge to get you started if you have no bottles ink.

About This Timber Pen

Any wood species, that is not listed as being recycled or repurposed comes from sustainable stock and is not listed in the CITES Appendices or on the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species.
Ash is a good strong wood with a straight grain. It is a durable and has various uses from the production of sports equipment to cabinet making. The timber is nice to work with and usually a really good finish can be achieved. It is light in colour and can have a lovely orangish grain. It is also often stained to give the appearance a darker wood.
Due to its considerable strength Ash has had a number of uses throughout the ages ranging from making bows and shafts for spears. Today it is used mostly for interior work such as doors, staircases, architraves, skirting and the like. It is particularly good for bespoke kitchens and makes wonderful flooring. Its only drawback is Ash doesn’t have a natural durability for use outside and so needs to be treated beforehand.
