LOVELY BLACK CHERRY FOUNTAIN PEN
This is a lovely fountain pen in Black Cherry with Gold and Black Plated fittings. The nib has an iridium point, and the pen comes in a black velveteen pouch (or the chance to have a black velvet pen box as an added extra), ink cartridges and an ink pump.
I would suggest that using the ink pump with bottles ink. It is the most economical and although the ink cartridges supplied are international standard size some of the economy ones for sale online are thicker and will not fit easily. Those I have suppled I buy at a local stationer (W H Smith (now T G Jones)) in the UK and would recommend doing the same if you are able.

Black Cherry (Also Known as American Cherry, Cabinet Cherry and Rum Cherry) has a heartwood that is a light pinkish brown when freshly cut, darkening to a medium reddish brown with time and upon exposure to light. The grain is usually straight and easy to work—with the exception of figured pieces with curly grain patterns.
Cherry is known as being one of the best all-around woods for workability. It is stable, straight-grained, and machines well. It is mostly used for cabinet making, fine furniture, flooring, interior millwork, veneer, turned objects, and small specialty wood items.
